Baked Turkey Legs

Baked Turkey Legs --- these were soooo good!! I bought a package of three turkey legs. Usually I barbecue them, but didn't have the time to stand over them, turning and turning, then adding BBQ sauce. Instead I baked them.

I put the three legs into a baking dish that fit them, sprinkled them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a bit of basil. Then I added about 1/2 inch of water and the juice of one lemon. I covered the dish with aluminum foil, baked it for one hour at 350 deg. Then I removed the foil, turned the legs over, added a bit more salt and pepper and cooked them for another hour (maybe less), uncovered. I turned the legs over a couple times for even browning. Wow! Hope you have the same success I did. And that sauce was so delicious, just calling for mashed potatoes (which I didn't have).

  1. By the way, I did the same yesterday with chicken pieces, thighs and legs that are still attached to each other. Soooo good.
