A week ago one of my favorite cooking sites, http://www.FoodiewithFamily.com, had an article about pasties. At first I read it as pastries, because no one has pasty articles! Anyway, this is a great article that has a recipe that you should try if you have never had one. But being a Yooper myself, I would never have gravy with my pasty -- only catsup and dill pickles and buttermilk! I also like to make the filling alone without the crust.
