I made a few more pieces with solder, and they are looking better!
I especially love the bug (is it a bee?) and the bird with wings spread. I'm definitely going to make my own molds to try.

SOLDER CASTING -- Another Project I'm Going to Love!
I don't have time for another project now ... but this one is so exciting! I recently saw a webcast featuring Cat Kerr and her solder casting technique. It was really great. I highly recommend it!
I'm in the middle of clay work, so I've spent only a couple of hours on this. But here is a photo of what I did the day I saw the webcast.
Notice the gold color on some of the pieces? It's a mystery, but maybe my soldering iron was getting too hot? So I got a new soldering iron. When I plugged it in, it tripped the GFI. Not good. I moved to another location, plugged it in, and the second GFI tripped. That iron got replaced with a new one, and it's waiting for me ...

"COZY" Treasury
BRRR! It's been cold lately, and it started to rain last night. My two dogs have opposite opinions about the rain. Sarah loves it, goes outside purposely to get wet and then waits for me to towel her dry. My new rescue dog, Charlie, doesn't like rain at all and won't go out.
This treasury has some "cozy" treats to consider for our cooler weather, and my handbuilt stoneware mug is included. I love this mug!

Stained Glass Box -- Custom Order
This morning I mailed a stained glass box I was asked to make for an Etsy customer. It was HUGE, at least the largest box I've ever made! When I first got the request, 4x4x12 inches, it didn't seem like a big deal. But then I cut the pieces and realized it was enormous! The customer wanted to place a rose inside; it's a "sentimental" piece. I asked her to send a photo. I hope she will.
The glass is iridescent with a "hammered" ripple surface. I love this glass and have used it for many of my little boxes. Here are a couple photos.

BAKED SPAGHETTI
Baked Spaghetti .... I love this more than spaghetti! And it's so simple to make. I have been subscribing to a cooking blog called, "South Your Mouth", and this recipe appeared a few weeks ago and is a KEEPER. Today is the second time I'm making it. The only thing I changed is cottage cheese in place of the ricotta. And I used Italian turkey sausage. Here is the recipe link so that you can print it: http://www.southyourmouth.com/2013/10/baked-spaghetti.html My little piggies are waiting for some ....
A photo of my prepared dish today:
And the baked dish .... YUMMY!

PICASSO Pendants
I wanted to show you a few of the Picasso pendants I recently listed in my Etsy shop. These are from the original firing. My second piece sits waiting to be cut up into pendants ... but I've been so busy working with clay. My first bisque firing of white clay pieces is done, and I just unloaded it to make room for red clay pieces. HELP! Anyway ... here are the pendants.
These last two pendants were fused a second time as an experiment, and I really like the effect!

"Perfect For All" Treasury
Shades of browns and tans make up this very nice Etsy treasury. My brown freshwater pearl knotted necklace is included.
Enjoy!
